  13. Preguntas frecuentes

1. Tu primer documento, en un minuto

Mi negocioTu marca (logo, firma, colores), tus empresas y tus catálogos.

5. Armar un documento: Datos, Diseño y Enviar

Paso 1 · Datos

Folio y fecha vienen puestos.

Cuatro pestañas: Formato, Plantilla, Color y Condiciones.

  13. Frequently asked questions

1. Your first document, in a minute

  1. Choose where your data is kept. The first time, the app asks: iCloud (recommended: backup in your iCloud, no new account), Google Drive (if you're coming from Android and your backups are there) or On this iPhone only. You can change it later in Settings.
  2. Go to "My business" → "My brand" and enter your business name, phone and email. Add your logo if you have one. You only do this once.
  3. Tap "Create" and choose the type of document.
  4. Details step: the client and the line items (what you charge: description, quantity, price).
  5. Design step: the page style and your color. If you skip it, the base design is used.
  6. Send step: check the preview, save, and tap "Share PDF" to send it by WhatsApp, email, or save it.

You don't have to fill in everything. A client name and one line item already make a good document.

2. How the app is laid out

There are five tabs at the bottom:

TabWhat it's for
DashboardYour documents, what you've collected, what you're owed, and the monthly report.
CreateMake a new document or a catalog, plus your lists of products, taxes, payment methods and notes.
ClientsYour saved clients, and everything you've sent each one.
My businessYour brand (logo, signature, colors), your businesses and your catalogs.
SettingsYour plan, the backup, this guide and the buttons to write to us.

At the top are the quick switches: ES / EN for the language and ☀ / ☾ for light or dark mode. Dark mode is for the screen only: documents always come out on white paper.

3. My brand: logo, signature and colors

In My business → My brand you set how your documents and catalogs look. Fill it once; it's used everywhere.

The background logo (your logo, faded, behind the document) is no longer here: you place it on each document, in Create → 2 · Design → Logo (section 5).

Signature tip: sign on a white sheet with a black marker and photograph it straight on, in good light. It looks far better than a finger-drawn signature.

4. The seven formats and when to use each

FormatWhen to use it
InvoiceBill for a job or a sale. Has a due date.
Delivery noteGoes with a delivery: what was delivered and to whom.
QuoteGive a price before the work. Has a valid-until date and allows a discount.
Service orderA job in progress: what will be done and its status.
Payment receiptProof you've been paid. For a partial payment, it shows the balance.
Service voucherTransfers, tours and lodging: passengers, flight, from where to where.
RefundGive money back on a document you already made: all of it, part of it, or only some line items. On the Dashboard it subtracts from what you collected.

Each format has its own numbering (F-000001, COT-000001…). The number goes up by itself, but you can edit it any time.

5. Building a document: Details, Design and Send

Step 1 · Details

Number and date are filled in. Pick the client from your saved ones, or type a new one and save it so you never type it again.

Each line item is description, quantity and price; the amount is calculated for you. In "Charged per" you choose item, hour, day, night, week or month, and the PDF spells it out: "4 nights", "3 days". If the product is in your catalog, pick it and it arrives with its price and unit.

Taxes and fees are a list: 16% VAT, a withholding that subtracts, the PayPal or Stripe fee. Below you choose the payment method and add notes with any title you like (Warranty, Terms, Bank details…).

Step 2 · Design

Four tabs: Template (the page style), Color, Logo and Details (data specific to your trade, like vehicle or plates, filled in on their own sheet). Every design prints the same data as the base design; only the style changes.

In Logo you turn on the background logo and place it on your document exactly as it will print: drag it with one finger, pinch with two to resize, and set the strength. Choose first page only or every page. If your logo has a colored background and would print as a box, tap "Remove the logo background". Each document keeps its own placement, and the next one starts from the last one you used.

Step 3 · Send

The preview shows the full page exactly as it will come out; pinch to zoom. If the document doesn't fit on one page, it's split across several: each page has its frame and footer, from the second one on it says "Page 2 of 3", and the totals go on the last one. "Share PDF" opens your iPhone's share menu. The file gets a human name, like "Invoice F-000123.pdf".

Save the document so it shows up on the Dashboard, counts in your totals, and can be reopened and edited later.

6. Fill once, reuse always

From Create you reach the lists that save you typing:

Your clients have their own tab. From a line item or a new client you can also tap "Save" to add it to the list without leaving the document.

7. PDF catalog: your products, your brand

Besides billing, the app builds a PDF catalog of your products and services, with your logo and details, ready to send by WhatsApp or email. Start in Create → + Catalog. The ones you've made are in My business → My catalogs: share them again from there without opening the editor.

Step 1 · Items

The catalog uses your Products / services list, so you never type anything twice. A new catalog starts with all of them: remove the ones you don't want and reorder with the arrows. Tap an item to fill it in:

Whatever you change here is also saved to your Products / services list.

Step 2 · Design

Four tabs: Layout, Template, Color and Terms.

LayoutWhat it looks like
ShowcaseCards two by two, with a large photo. To show the product off.
List with photosOne row per item, with a small photo.
List with iconsThe same, with an icon per type: for when you don't have photos yet.
Text onlyThe classic price list, with dot leaders.

The template is the same letterhead as your invoices. In Terms you turn on the notes you want at the end of the catalog (deposit, cancellations, warranty, rental deposit…): they're your usual Notes from Create → + Notes.

Step 3 · Send

For the button to work, your phone (WhatsApp) or your email must be in My business → My brand. If they're missing, the app tells you.

When you tap Share you choose the template message that goes with the PDF. Whatever you change is saved for next time. Then send it by WhatsApp, email or any other app.

8. Several businesses in one app

If you run more than one business, add another in My business and switch between them in "Brand in use". Each has its own logo, colors and details. (Pro feature.)

The key point: each business keeps separate books: its documents, clients, totals and numbering don't mix. What you see is always the business in use.

Products, taxes and payment methods are shared between your businesses. If you'd rather each have its own, turn off "Share catalogs across my businesses". If you delete a business, its documents and clients are not deleted: they move to your first business.

9. Dashboard: what you've collected

Each saved document is marked pending, sent or paid. With that, the Dashboard shows you:

The monthly report is free to view. With Pro you download it with "Export this month (.csv)", which opens in Excel or Google Sheets: it's what you send your accountant.

10. Backing up to your iCloud

Your data lives on your iPhone. If you lose the iPhone, you lose the data; that's what the backup is for, in Settings → Backup (iCloud). It's free.

Three things to know:
1. Always use the same Apple Account. With another account you won't see your data.
2. iCloud Drive must be on: iPhone Settings › your name › iCloud › iCloud Drive, with permission for Enki FastInvoice. If it's off, the app tells you and everything stays on the iPhone.
3. When you restore, the app restarts by itself and your data shows up. If you don't see it, close the app completely and open it again.

Restored the wrong backup? Before restoring, the app keeps what you had on the iPhone for 30 days. In Settings, tap "Go back to how it was before restoring" and everything returns to how it was.

11. Free plan and Pro plan

Pro is monthly or yearly, with a 7-day trial. You see the price in your currency on the Pro screen, and App Store handles the billing. In iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions you change or cancel it. If you cancel, you stay Pro until the paid period ends.

12. Note for Mexico: this is not a CFDI

When this app says "factura" it means a commercial billing document, not a stamped electronic invoice. The app does NOT issue CFDI: its documents are not stamped with the SAT and have no official tax value in Mexico. If you need a valid tax receipt, issue it through an authorized certification provider (PAC).

Outside Mexico, "invoice" has its usual commercial meaning.

13. Frequently asked questions

I switched iPhones. How do I get everything back?

Install the app with the same Apple Account. When it opens, the app looks for your backup and offers "Restore"; if not, go to Settings → Backup (iCloud) → "Restore from iCloud". If the iPhone is brand new, wait a few minutes for iCloud to sync. The app restarts by itself when you restore. If you paid for Pro, tap "I already paid, restore my purchase".

I'm coming from Android. Can I bring my data?

Yes. On the first screen choose Google Drive, sign in with the account you used on Android and restore your backup. You can turn on iCloud in Settings afterwards. A Google Play subscription doesn't carry over to the App Store: they're different stores.

I created a second business and my clients and documents are gone.

That's expected: each business keeps its own books. Switch back in My business → Brand in use and everything is there.

The total doesn't add up.

Check the document's taxes: a withholding subtracts and a fee adds. The discount is applied before taxes.

I entered a price and the amount came out zero.

Make sure the quantity isn't empty: the amount is quantity × price. Use a dot for decimals.

It won't let me create another document this month.

The free plan includes 3 per month and resets on the 1st. Pro has no limit.

My catalog asks for Pro when I share it.

The free plan shares one catalog of up to 5 items, with one photo per item and the Base template. If it has more items, remove the extra ones in step 1 (the app tells you how many) or go Pro to send it complete. You can try any template in the preview; without Pro the PDF uses Base.

My catalog's Order button doesn't open anything.

Make sure your phone or email is in My business → My brand. The button is tapped inside the PDF: if your customer opens it in an app that doesn't allow tapping links, have them open it with their phone's PDF viewer.

My logo looks blurry or cropped.

Upload a square, high-resolution image with no extra borders. A transparent background is even better.

I deleted a document by mistake.

If you have an iCloud backup, restore an earlier copy (it keeps 4). Otherwise it can't be recovered: we don't keep a copy of your data.

Can I use the app offline?

Yes. Everything works without a connection. Only the backup and the subscription need internet.

I found a bug, or I have an idea.

Write to us from the app: Settings → "Report a problem" or "Suggest an improvement". Your email opens with the technical details filled in. You can also write to support@enkifixer.com. We read everything.
